February 10, 2010 on 1:13 am | In Adobe Photoshop, Background, Texture | No CommentsThis is cool if you want to create a background for your image.
First, create a new document (I suggest an 800X600 pixels document with black as background). Go to menu then choose filter then render and finally difference clouds. Youll see something like this:
Next, go back to filter. Choose texture and craquelure. Just change the setting of crack spacing to 4 and leave the rest be (they should be 10).
Finally, go to menu. Click on image then adjust and finally brightness/contrast. Play around with the contrast and brightness settings. Half the fun is experimenting.

Photography Can Bring Out the Artist In You
May 19, 2008 on 8:00 pm | In Adobe Photoshop, Effects, Photo Editing Tips | No CommentsWhile many of us end up staring at pictures blankly, you can do a lot of artistic output on them if you think about it. The controversy about whether photography is art is one that has been raging in the art world for a long time and we are not likely to totally solve it here.
But it can be an important decision you have to make if you are considering a career in photography with the goal of producing quality art works. Now the primary objection to whether photography is art sometimes is that a photograph is often a realistic depiction of a moment taken with a machine and some would say that “anybody can take a picture.”
Better Pixels, Better Images
May 12, 2008 on 7:59 pm | In Adobe Photoshop, Photo Editing Tips | No CommentsAs far as getting quality images is concerned, the battle is really on the pixels that your digital camera has. Pixels help improve the quality of images. The greater they are the better and easier it is to edit them.
Some people consider pixels only because they want better output. But there is really more to that especially if you love to tamper with pictures and improve them. Lesser speckles make it easier to hide and edit them.
So the next time you buy a camera, go for the higher pixel ones. It will be worth the buy and surely be beneficial once you edit those photos you took.
