Drawing straight lines without using the line tool
Choose one of the available tools for drawing a line except line tool (Eraser tool, pencil tool, brush tool, etc) and then hold the shift key while dragging the pointer horizontally or vertically.
Drawing straight lines using the brush tool
While the brush tool is selected, click where you want to start the first point to be at. Then hold the shift key and click to the other point where you want your line to end. You may also use this technique mostly to other tools like highlight tool and eraser tool.
Tips at creating shapes
To start drawing from the center, hold alt while dragging. To create perfect shapes of a square, a circle, or when you are using the polygon tool, hold shift while dragging. If you are using any of tools for drawing like the brush tool, or line tool, and you want to move what you are drawing, hold the spacebar and drag it to where you want your drawing placed.
Closing multiple windows of Photoshop
Hold shift while going to the file menu and choose close.
Photo-Editing Tips That Will Enhance Your Image
March 25, 2008 on 4:05 am | In Information, Tips | No CommentsDigital cameras are really expensive yet powerful. But you are in when you have it, you can easily change your picture of your face or the appearance that you think it should be. Even though you got fuzzy pictures, colors often don’t look quite right, images get overexposed or underexposed, and digital data introduces anomalies that we never had to deal with in the past.
Remember the days of filling up a roll of film and impatiently waiting to see how your pictures turned out are quickly fading. Now, it’s possible to preview shots directly on the camera, get rid of the ones you don’t want on the fly to free up space, and immediately import all your images into your computer for printing. No worries no more.
Jewelry Photo Editing Software
March 10, 2008 on 10:59 am | In Information, Program | No CommentsHere is one of the website that you should try to create and have your own experiment “Jac’s Paintshop Pro”, the photo editing software that you should try!
Your computer may even have come with photo editing software in its original software bundle; if you aren’t sure, check under “programs” on your computer’s hard drive.
You will surely have fun in exploring with it, and your software doesn’t need to be expensive. Even though Adobe PhotoShop, which is loaded with incredible features, is probably the industry standard for photo editing, it’s also extremely pricey.
So what are you waiting try to explore your internet now and have fun.
Another Free Photo Editing Program, Plus More Photo Editing Tips
March 1, 2008 on 4:08 am | In Information | No CommentsWant to have free photo editing website? Yes you hear it right, it’s free!! If you want you can download it and install in your PC (19 MB). It’s for Windows users, it does most of your basic photo editing things (cropping, resizing, color correction, redeye reduction, etc.), and of course, it’s free (requires a valid e-mail address to activate).
Now, I just do very basic photo treatments, and try to keep a very light touch. I’m not a photojournalist, but I know I can’t make nice photos now. But I still don’t want to alter reality, just be sure that it’s accurately reflected on-screen.

Microsoft Paint, an editing tool?
January 18, 2008 on 10:35 pm | In Information | No CommentsSomeone asked me before out of the blue, if Microsoft Paint can be considered as a photo editing tool. Personally, I believe that Paint is a photo editing program, however, it has limitations.
Princeton’s online dictionary defined the word edit as ‘cut, and assemble the components of’ and ‘cut and eliminate’. Surely you can cut and piece-up photos in Paint but the results aren’t that astonishing compared to other applications that are specifically programmed to edit photos (such as Adobe, Ulead and the like). The photo’s sides that were cut will look “edged”, and the features of Paint are only limited to those (aside from the fact that you can doodle words on the picture you’re editing).
